Terms of Use

1. What Dottya is

Dottya is a tool that answers questions, searches the web, analyzes the documents and images you attach, and generates study material and downloadable documents. The service is operated from Colombia.

2. Who can use it

You may use Dottya if you are at least 13 years old. If you are a minor in your country, you need permission from a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf.

3. AI answers can be wrong

Dottya generates its answers with artificial intelligence models. They can be incorrect, incomplete or out of date, even when they cite a source or a page. Verify important information before relying on it, especially in work you will hand in.

The service is not a substitute for a teacher or a professional. Don't use it as your only source for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions.

4. Academic integrity

You are responsible for how you use what Dottya produces and for following your institution's rules on AI use, citation and plagiarism. Dottya does not guarantee that a text will be accepted as original by any institution or detection tool.

5. Acceptable use

You may not:

• Use the service for illegal activity or to harm, harass or deceive others.
• Upload content you have no rights to, or that contains other people's personal data without their permission.
• Try to get around usage limits, access systems you aren't entitled to, or interfere with how the service works.
• Resell the service or use it in an automated, large-scale way without written permission.

We may suspend access for anyone who breaks these rules.

6. Your content

What you write and the files you upload remain yours. You give us permission to process them only to provide the service to you. You are free to use the answers and documents Dottya generates for you, at your own responsibility.

7. Plans and payments

Dottya has a free plan and may offer a paid plan. Prices are shown in US dollars before you buy. Payments are processed by a third-party provider acting as merchant of record, which handles charging, invoicing and the taxes that apply in your country.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Cancellation and refund conditions are set out in the Refund Policy.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available, but we don't guarantee it will run without interruptions or errors. We may change, limit or remove features. If a change significantly affects a paid plan, we will give notice in advance.

9. Limitation of liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Dottya is not liable for indirect damages or for the consequences of using AI-generated information, such as a grade, an academic penalty or a decision made based on an answer. None of this limits the rights your country's consumer protection law gives you.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will publish the new version on this page with its date. If you keep using the service after the change, you accept the new version.

11. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia, without prejudice to the consumer protection rules that apply in your country of residence.
